Meet The Team
Zio Holdinghausen
Director, Registered Builder and Owner (The Big Boss)
With more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, Director and registered builder Zio Holdinghausen founded Haus and Home Construction in 2020 after making the move to the Surf Coast from Melbourne before settling in Geelong.
Having spent 10 years as a Qualified Carpenter, Zio brings with him a wealth of experience, and a passion for building, property and design.
His experience has equipped him with an in depth understanding of every aspect of the build process and he prides himself on making sure every aspect of the build is thoroughly thought out and executed to the highest standards.
Known as a perfectionist, with a keen eye for detail, Zio is dedicated to delivering quality craftsmanship, and expects the same level of quality from the team and subcontractors.
With extensive construction experience, Zio’s true passion lies in property and design, and it is that which has shaped the vision of Haus and Home Construction – to create dream spaces for our clients to live in and love.
Zio loves transforming the old into the new and creating a seamless transition between the two. He thrives off the challenge of planning and designing the perfect space and has been known to spend hours (and hours) on end scribbling different designs and layouts on plans, until he achieves the perfect result.
More than just a builder, Zio is truly dedicated to creating spaces for his clients to love.
Gabi Holdinghausen
Creative Operations Director and Co-Owner
While involved since day one, co-owner Gabi officially joined the Haus and Home Construction team as our Creative Operations Director in 2024. With a background in Marketing and Communications, Gabi brings with her a passion for interior design and a natural eye for detail.
Handling the day-to-day operations, Gabi leads project management for Haus and Home Construction, ensuring all our projects run smoothly and efficiently. Supported by her background in Communications, Gabi is also responsible for managing client relationships, and ensures our clients are supported throughout their build journey.
An all-rounder, Gabi does all this and more, while raising the three future employees of Haus and Home Construction – Billie, Hunter and Darcy.
Ben
Site Manager
Ben joined the Haus and Home team in 2025 and hit the ground running. As a qualified carpenter, Ben quickly moved to a leading hand carpenter before stepping into the role of Site Supervisor. Ben is an absolute gun and oversees all of our sites.
Blake
Leading Hand Carpenter
Blake is a Qualified Carpenter who has been with Haus and Home Construction since 2021. Blake joined the team as an apprentice before he was signed off as a Qualified Carpenter in 2023. Blake is an integral member of the Haus and Home team who we have loved to watch grow from day one.
Fraser
Apprentice Carpenter
Fraser is a second-year apprentice who started with us as a school-based apprentice, whilst finishing his final year of secondary studies. Fraser is an absolute gun and we look forward to continue to watch him grow and excel
Elise
Administration Assistant
Elise is our savvy administration assistant who helps in the back end with all of our administrative tasks. The onsite wouldn’t happen without the support of Elise.
