Meet Zio 👋
For those new around here, we wanted to re-introduce the big boss, and man behind Haus and Home.
With more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, Director and registered builder Zio Holdinghausen founded Haus and Home Construction in 2020 after making the move to the Surf Coast from Melbourne before settling in Geelong.
Having spent 10 years as a Qualified Carpenter, Zio brings with him a wealth of experience, and a passion for building, property and design.
His experience has equipped him with an in depth understanding of every aspect of the build process and he prides himself on making sure every aspect of the build is thoroughly thought out and executed to the highest standards.
Known as a perfectionist, with a keen eye for detail, Zio is dedicated to delivering quality craftsmanship, and expects the same level of quality from the team and subcontractors.
With extensive construction experience, Zio’s true passion lies in property and design, and it is that which has shaped the vision of Haus and Home Construction – to create dream spaces for our clients to live in and love.
Zio loves transforming the old into the new and creating a seamless transition between the two. He thrives off the challenge of planning and designing the perfect space and has been known to spend hours (and hours) on end scribbling different designs and layouts on plans, until he achieves the perfect result.
More than just a builder, Zio is truly dedicated to creating spaces for his clients to love.
The moody greens in this Jan Juc Bathroom Renovation create an earthy, calming feel to the space which is flooded with natural light from the skylight perfectly positioned above the bath.
We completed this Bathroom Renovation project alongside our Jan Juc Bungalow project to give the family a much needed update to the existing bathroom.
We just love the beautiful handmade Japanese ceramic tiles chosen by our client and are so happy with how the space turned out.

Meet Fraser 👋
The newest member of the Haus and Home construction team. Fraser is a first year apprentice who started with us as a school-based apprentice whilst finishing his final year of secondary studies. Fraser has hit the ground running and we can’t wait to watch him continue to grow over the next few years.

Our Jan Juc Bungalow project - a guest house in the heart of Juc.
We loved bringing this space to life in the haven of the families backyard whilst still secluded and peaceful - a piece of paradise to be shared and enjoyed by many.

Meet Gabi 👋
While involved since day one, co-owner Gabi officially joined the Haus and Home Construction team as our Creative Operations Director in 2024.
With a background in Marketing and Communications, Gabi brings with her a passion for interior design and a natural eye for detail.
Handling the day-to-day operations, Gabi leads project management for Haus and Home Construction, ensuring all our projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Supported by her background in Communications, Gabi is also responsible for managing client relationships, and ensures our clients are supported throughout their build journey.
An all-rounder, Gabi does all this and more, while raising the three future employees of Haus and Home Construction – Billie, Hunter and Darcy.
